Meet your Maker

Meet Your Maker are a British Christian metalcore and hardcore band from England. The band have been described by Cross Rhythms as a Staffordshire-based hardcore band and are associated with Revolution Reality, a Christian community connected with heavy music and alternative culture. Their single “Worship Is Warfare” received airplay on BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Rock programme in 2024.

The band released their debut full-length album, Hallowed, independently in 2025.

History

Meet Your Maker emerged from the English Midlands Christian heavy music scene. Their debut single, “The Risen King”, was released on 19 December 2020 through the band’s Bandcamp page. The Bandcamp release listed the line-up at the time as Matt McKay on vocals, Beth Burch and Dylan Myhill on guitar, Pete Cornell on drums, and Dave Boyle on bass.

In 2023, the band released “Worship Is Warfare”. In February 2024, Cross Rhythms reported that the song had received two plays on BBC Radio 1’s Introducing Rock programme. The same report described Meet Your Maker as both a hardcore band and a worship unit for Revolution Reality.

The band also appeared on the For The Rock compilation Blueprint for Life, released on 29 March 2024, with “Worship Is Warfare”.

In December 2024, Meet Your Maker were listed as performers at the Christ Mosh event at Dead Wax in Digbeth, Birmingham, alongside Confessions of a Traitor and Hope Through Grace.

Hallowed

Meet Your Maker released their debut album, Hallowed, on 6 June 2025. Apple Music lists the album as a ten-track metal release with a runtime of approximately 37 minutes. The album was released independently.

Solid Rock Unplugged reviewed the album and described it as a heavy worship record combining aggressive UK metal with Christian lyrical themes. The review highlighted tracks including “The Servant King”, “Worship Is Warfare”, “DIG DEEP”, “In the Fire”, “Holy Flow”, “False Light”, “Sanctify / Glorify”, and a redux version of “The Risen King”.

The album also received coverage from Still Small Voice, which described the band’s sound as drawing from metalcore, nu-metal, beatdown hardcore, and deathcore influences. In a 2025 year-end list, Eternal Flames placed Hallowed at number seven in its list of the top Christian metal albums of 2025, describing Meet Your Maker as a UK metalcore outfit.

Reviews of Hallowed have noted the band’s use of heavy breakdowns, harsh vocals, melodic hooks and explicitly Christian lyrical themes. The band’s lyrics frequently focus on worship, spiritual conflict, perseverance, redemption and Christian faith.
